PRIVATE LESSONS with Rod Goelz
"My philosophy has long been MUSIC IS FOR LIFE, and so the goal for teaching has always been to create a lifetime musician.” To achieve this goal, the skills we most often stress are aimed at the small ensemble setting (1 –5 people). We focus on musical "survival skills" for the small ensemble. Skills such as rhythm awareness, comping, style, improvisation, and much more!
Small ensembles are the backbone of modern music (post 1955), and are easier to start and easier to maintain...than the much larger orchestra. They are the backbone of rock, country, bluegrass, jazz…. even the contemporary worship team at your local church.
A large part of what I offer is one on one attention on guitar, electric bass and mandolin instruction.
